I am originally from Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Psychology, with a minor in History. I then moved to Chicago and attended DePaul University College of Law on the Dean's Scholarship. During my time in school I volunteered my services to both the Juvenile Division and the Organized Crime Division of the State's Attorney's Office of Cook County gaining an inside look at how the offices operated. Upon graduating in 2002 and passing the Illinois Bar I worked for the Will County Public Defender's Office as a criminal defense attorney. During my time there I handled cases ranging from class C misdemeanors to felony murder. I had numerous successes, including a successful defense of the charge of murder for a client. Upon leaving the Public Defender's Office, I went into private practice with a criminal defense and DUI firm in Cook County. In my ongoing pursuit of client satisfaction, I decided to open up my own law office in 2007.
